ㅤpersonalityㅤ stryx lihaia is a watcher of people. they like being a fly on the wall, often keeping their ears up as they delve into a book they borrowed from one of eorzea's libraries. when they are away from their books, they like to observe people and appreciate their vast array of differences, picking up on their unique mannerisms and emotional states. on top of that, they prefer being a listener, and often keep their thoughts to themself, leaving them unsaid in favour of hearing someone else's. they are highly empathetic, and often go out of their way to try and help people, despite their condition. the thing that drives them most is their inspiration, motivated by a vision only they happen to see, followed by their wish to contribute to others' welfare as a silent but watchful guardian. the touch of idealism that accompanies every word they say and each action they take is bolstered by their unwavering conviction.

despite all this, stryx regularly feels detached from the world around them. they have a habit of living in their head and overthinking until they've circled back to their initial thought and restarting the cycle. they also go through frequent bouts of loneliness, and feeling like no one will appreciate them as deeply as they do others, while also intentionally distancing themself from everyone else and reinforcing their feelings of loneliness. they also tend to reject help when it is directed at them, preferring to shoulder their burdens alone, while simultaneously stretching themself thin for the sake of others. keeping secrets and concealing their feelings come as easy to them as blinking. when someone captures their ire, however, their normally pleasant demeanour easily turns to quiet vindictiveness, and is not afraid to resort to underhanded methods to protect who they need to.

ㅤbiographyㅤ aslan lihaia was born to the lihaia clan, to an unknown father and a controlling mother, and had a sister twelve years their senior, tehva. they were born premature and frail, and needed extra care and assistance from their tribe to make it past infancy. as they grew up, they were confined to their bed, never being allowed to go out due to their delicate health. their poor health was seen as a curse by their mother, that they were a drain on resources, and it was no secret that she preferred tehva over them. aslan believed her. night after night, they would wish for a body that was no longer ailing, to earn their mother's love. they wanted to be just like tehva, strong and fearless. what brought them comfort was the books tehva would bring them, and tehva's presence. aslan would read every book brought to them to tehva, and she would listen until matters in the tribe would need her. they would talk about the stories they read together, and how beautiful their adventures were, and that one day, they will have one, too. tehva assured aslan that even if no one else would love them, she would, always and forever. they also had a childhood friend, ivuh'a, who would visit frequently. they played the violin for him when their body would allow it. they harboured feelings for him, but thought it best to stay silent. unfortunately, the lihaia tribe was in open conflict with another keeper tribe, and tehva was captured by their enemy after a battle in the forest. she was ultimately executed by the tribe, and upon learning of her fate, aslan's heart broke.the lihaia have a saying: the more dandelions grow on your grave, the more your memory persevered. during the vigil for tehva, aslan buried her with dandelion seeds, following the rest of the tribe. they released fireflies into the night, so she could join the stars. "it should have been you," aslan's grief-stricken mother said. realising that aslan was never going to be loved by their mother, they stole away in the night, and the lihaia never saw them again.

aslan ended up in limsa lominsa at the age of fourteen. they quickly learned how to hide their condition, and dedicated themself to learning magicks upon learning about their uncanny talent for thaumaturgy. they changed their name to stryx, to further distance themself from their tribe. their appetite for books persevered, of course, frequenting every library they know of and spending countless hours perusing stories, tomes, and grimoires. the stories stryx read fuelled their newfound sense of adventure, and sought to visit far-fetched frontiers one day, when they are able. the since-fallen allagan moon, dalamud, particularly piqued their interest. hoping to find out more about the red moon's history, they joined the expedition for the crystal tower in hopes of satisfying their curiosity, where a chance meeting changed their life forever. after a particularly gruelling battle, they spotted a rose-haired viera that needed healing. while their healing magicks weren't potent, it was enough to save him. he introduced himself as sirfe alfrost, and offered stryx an opportunity to join the scions of the seventh dawn. stryx gratefully accepted.it didn't take long for stryx to get comfortable in their new position. they were making a difference to the greater realm, and they get to visit places they've never been before. sirfe was also good company, with his bold and charming personality. however, upon learning of the crystal braves' treachery, stryx was separated from sirfe, and was forced to flee. they reunited shortly before the dragonsong war ended. over time, stryx's condition worsened, and it became harder to conceal it. while sirfe and stryx stormed baelsar's wall together, stryx collapsed, and it was at that point where the truth of their health revealed itself to sirfe. furious, sirfe took them away from the fighting, and ordered them to go home, refusing to take them to ala mhigo with the rest of the scions. stryx desperately pleaded their case, that they can still fight, that they are still capable, but—"you're just going to be a burden," sirfe said.

stryx returned to limsa lominsa, and scorned sirfe and his memory. for the longest time, they refused to utter his name. they learned to drown their sorrows with alcohol, and sought comfort in their stories once more. in their darkest moment, they end up joining a secret organisation in limsa that made use of their talents. it was there that they found out who they truly are, that all they wanted was "a working body", no matter what gender it is. it was there that a story inspired them to go to the moon, and plant a dandelion there. even though their health was slowly but surely failing, the organisation's medical intervention made them continue on just a little longer. it was because of the organisation that they wanted to reach the age of twenty-five.then, a voice from the rift called to them, and they woke up in an unfamiliar lavender forest. lakeland, it was called, in norvrandt. they met eyes with sirfe once again, in that very forest, and they admonished him for abandoning them. sirfe simply scoffed and left, clearly not taking stryx's scathing words to heart. in this world, there was one thing they noticed: their body was free of their ailment. they were able to do what they couldn't do before. they dedicated themself to finding ways to restore the empty, poring over as many historical records and tomes about it as they could, and assisted the scions with bringing the night sky back. when the opportunity to restore the empty came up, they were the first to volunteer. their time in norvrandt eventually came to an end, however, and they returned back to their body in mor dhona.they returned to their duties as a scion, but their health has taken a turn for the worse since their time in norvrandt. their body was becoming more fragile, and they were quickly losing weight. despite this, they continued on. they made it to sharlayan, and joined the eorzean alliance's efforts to assist garlemald. the cold made their joints hurt, and they could no longer absorb aether from food. they pushed their body through the tower of babil, and ultimately expired on the moon at the age of twenty-three.instead of returning to the aetherial sea, their soul lingered because of their echo. they travelled the world without a form, only to end up in a workshop in ul'dah, where they touched a mammet, and its core quickly absorbed their soul. the workshop belonged to arsilf ildynwesfv. arsilf, perplexed about this strange turn of events, communicated with stryx as they explained the situation, and in short order, two vessels were fashioned for them: one female, and one male, indistinguishable from any other person, appearance-wise. through arsilf's handiwork, they were able to exist as themself again. they now frequent the siren inn as a patron, where they spend nights chatting with the staff, or reading a book by the corner.

ㅤpersonalityㅤ sirfe alfrost is a man who is larger than life itself. adaptable, bold and brimming with energy, he isn't shy to rely on his charm to get what he wants, even if the methods aren't conventional. born with a quick wit and a sharp tongue, he oozes charisma, and is very gregarious and sociable, often seeking out sensory experiences and frequently indulging in casual sex and alcohol. quite vain, he highly appreciates flattery, and never misses an opportunity to feed his inflated ego, always shamelessly fishing for praise when the opportunity arises. he thrives in the face of chaos and is versatile enough to be able to respond to any situation, and his competitive streak is normally satisfied after a challenge. he is the definition of living fast and hard. he constantly toes the line between cockiness and confidence, his natural bravado flowing from him as he solves a problem while making it seem effortless.

if a bird can fly fast, sirfe would find a way to fly even faster. whenever he is faced with genuine intimacy, be it from a friend or a potential partner, his first instinct is to withdraw and run away, preferring to keep his commitments open out of fear of being tied down. he can also be rather insensitive, regularly finding emotional situations to be extremely uncomfortable and finds ways to downplay them or ignore them entirely in favour of something more engaging. he is also highly impulsive and short-sighted, opting to say or do something before thinking it through and frequently ends up in situations where he needs a helping hand— not that he will admit that he needs one, however. he isn't one to be bossed around, either, deciding to argue and be defiant first and foremost. most of all, he arrogantly disregards the consequences of his actions, never thinking farther than ten minutes ahead of him.

ㅤbiographyㅤ sirfe was born deep in the mountains to a family of six, being the second to last child. growing up, sirfe never learned to listen, always finding ways to sneak out of the house when it was dark. although he was forbidden to leave the village, it never stopped him from trying. he had no shortage of friends, but three were a constant in his life: rael, gieda, and salda. salda was the quietest one amongst his friends, while gieda had a fascination for any and all beastkin. rael was their heart and soul, and he openly fancied her, enjoying her company the most. sirfe would take rael to the edges of the forests near their village, and tried to show her the lands beyond, but she would be too scared to take another step forward, telling sirfe to come back home. he was naturally talented at the bow, his sharp eyes never missing his targets, and he would take every opportunity to impress his friends with it, especially rael. he and gieda would spar with spears while rael and salda would watch, and salda would offer them all food after a long day of playing. sirfe was never shy about shirking his duties in the village, often choosing to practice with his bow in the forest, or climb a high tree and scaring rael and salda while they tell him it's too dangerous to climb so high. out of the four of them, gieda was the oldest, and was the first to be chosen as a wood warder, and accept the green word.when gieda left, he and rael met at the top of the mountain one day, overlooking the forest. "we're almost of age, and by then one of us might end up leaving for the forest, too. if you do... will you promise me that you'll come back?" rael asked.with no hesitation, sirfe gave her a smile. "i'll come back, rael. and i'll be the best fucking warder you'll ever see." as the sun set, rael weaved a charm into his hair, as a physical reminder of his promise to her.one winter, while sirfe was exploring the forests, he ended up finding gieda's body, recently mauled by a creature in the forest, half-covered in bloodstained snow, his spear not far from him. horror seized him as he picked up the fallen lance. for once, he forgot how to breathe. a realisation struck him: this is what it meant to be a warder. to be left for the elements, to die alone, all to uphold some oath. he ran home as quick as he could, and broke the news, showing the village the fallen warder's spear. with pity in her eyes, rael resigned herself to take the village's side, that gieda wasn't strong enough for the forest. it stung to hear. sirfe felt betrayed— he was their friend, how could she just say that...? but her stance was clear. she wasn't going to take sirfe's side. and by his thirteenth nameday, sirfe was chosen to be a wood warder. he spurned the decision, and refused to take up his bow to uphold the green word, choosing to leave his village instead.

sirfe moved south, towards what remained of dalmasca. on the way, he learned how to hunt, how to forage, and how to beg travellers for money, food, or a place to stay. he quickly learned that there was danger at every corner, that others would take advantage of him. he sold his innocence to a group of men he met near dalmasca, giving him just enough money to survive. shortly after his arrival in the city, sirfe met a dalmascan hyur his age named alfred by attempting to pick his pockets. instead of getting angry, alfred offered him a place to stay, and taught sirfe how to survive in the city, starting with who to rob and what to discreetly take. they became fast friends, and enjoyed each other's company. they spent many nights together, sharing a drink, or even sharing a bed, some nights. over time, alfred's feelings for sirfe began to flourish, and it culminated in a sudden kiss, one drunken night. instead of reciprocating, sirfe pushed him away, and left. it didn't take long for sirfe to leave dalmasca, taking a boat westwards.sirfe was seventeen when he reached the shores of limsa lominsa. he signed his name in the adventurer's guild as sirfe alfrost, and he began to take up odd jobs throughout eorzea, such as exploring the ruins of gelmorra with a fellow viera named aruna goodfellow, or taking up deliveries for various factions. word reached his ears about a faction called the scions of the seventh dawn, and, finding an opportunity to earn more coin, he joined their number. he met stryx lihaia during the expedition for the crystal tower, and offered them an opportunity to join as well, to their delight. after the crystal braves' betrayal, sirfe was separated from stryx, and was captured by the brass blades and sent to gaol. it didn't take long for him to break out, fleeing to gridania, where he quickly took a job that sent him to coerthas, and met a scion named s'morha tia along the way. together, they were tasked to find a long-lost ballad, finding it in the far reaches of the sea of clouds. he eventually reunited with stryx, and joined them for baelsar's wall, where he found out that stryx had been concealing their illness all along. livid, sirfe left them to go to ala mhigo alone.

once rhalgr's reach was razed to the ground by the imperials, sirfe took the first boat to kugane as quickly as he could, and headed towards the azim steppe. he spent months travelling the steppe with a local guide, trading away the charm in his hair in exchange, and he participated in the naadam as a representative of the mol tribe. after the mol won the naadam, he returned to kugane, where he stayed for a few more months, before ultimately returning to limsa lominsa. he eventually took a job from the rogue's guild, where he was tasked to retrieve a stolen scroll for the guild, which, ironically, took him back to the azim steppe. while the scroll turned out to be fake, he still claims it as proof that the job is done, and returns to the rogue's guild with it.shortly after his second return to limsa, a strange voice called to him from beyond, and he found himself in norvrandt, under the brightest sky he has ever set eyes on. for the first time in years, he meets stryx again, who rebukes him for abandoning them. unconvinced, he sets off towards kholusia not long after arriving, once word reached him about a utopian place called eulmore, where he can live in ignorance and decadence. he ends up stuck and destitute in gatetown, and after many, many helpings of meol, he ends up being chosen to live in eulmore as a dancer. he became a bonded servant to a patron, where he was subjected to night after night of abuse. it broke him, little by little. he was reduced to a shell of his former self; who was once eager to verbally spar with someone, he now follows close to his patron's heels, as meekly and quietly as he could. his idle time was spent drinking away in the beehive. it was only during the scions' intervention in eulmore that he was able to escape to the crystarium, and after being convinced to assist in holminster, he rejoins the scions and helps them with their quest to return the night sky. unfortunately, because of his exposure to light aether, he almost transforms into a sin eater in mt. gulg, and only manages to maintain his form due to the oracle of light. after the events of the tempest, he regains control of his aether.after his time in norvrandt, he returned to his body in mor dhona. shaken by his experiences in eulmore, he distances himself from the scions, and leaves for kugane. once more, he returns to the steppe, finding comfort and peace in its rolling hills. he finds the courage to return to eorzea after seeing the ragnarok fly over the steppe, and since then, he has taken a job as a mercenary, taking on various delivery jobs to get by. after reconciling with stryx, who has since overcome their illness, they recommended him to go to the siren inn, and since then, he has regularly visited, often chatting with the staff and drinking the night away at the bar.

ㅤpersonalityㅤ leiza mevrile is unwavering and strong-willed. her biggest quality is her steadfast loyalty, refusing to give up on her goals or loved ones and always remains faithful to her commitments. she seeks to protect those in need, and has dedicated herself to upholding order in every aspect of her life, from the minute details to the larger goals. diligent and hardworking, she prides herself on being self-made and refuses to let anyone define her as anything else. she will always keep her word whenever she promises something, and expects others to do the same for her due to her strong sense of honor. habits and routine come very naturally to her, and she prefers being predictable and structured. assertive and dominant, she has a direct way of addressing people to the point of it being shockingly blunt. more than anything, she prefers results, believing in the principle of the end justifying the means. as long as her goals are achieved and maintained, the costs incurred do not matter much to her.

unfortunately, and very predictably, leiza is rather inflexible and rigid, and can be more stubborn than the worst mule. it takes a considerable amount of effort to convince her of anything once she has set her mind to it, and even then it may only be a simple reconsideration. change simply does not come naturally to her. similarly, trust from her is as easy to attain as convincing her to accept sudden change. getting her to express emotion or vulnerability is yet another undertaking, and anything that isn't related to her work, mission, or routine is ignored entirely. not only that, but she is also quick to anger, and can be very hot-headed, to complement her position in the immortal flames and her own bright red hair. her temper is notably short and she has very little patience for things she perceives as wasting her time.

ㅤbiographyㅤ leiza mevrile was born deep in the shroud, and complications during leiza's birth made her mother pass away. her father, the last of her tribe, was wounded trying to protect her mother from beasts as she gave birth, and with the remaining strength he had left, he pleaded for the lanbatal clan to take his daughter before he, too, passed. she was raised by the lanbatal like she was their own, though she never found out about the fates of her parents. she was always a tomboyish kid, choosing to spar with the warriors of the tribe, always seeking to test her strength whenever she could. she was naturally inclined to use the axe, and trained herself on it from a very young age, however she was no stranger to using her fists, either. leiza grew up alongside a girl named nisa, and while they didn't have much in common, they formed a friendship regardless. nisa cared more about talking her way out of situations, while leiza would resolve them with force. leiza was content staying in the tribe and living a comfortable life, but nisa wanted more out of life than living in a tribe and potentially becoming a matriarch. she wanted to travel, earn coin, and become a well-known adventurer. even though leiza didn't share her dreams, she owed nisa her loyalty after being her friend all these years, and with the blessing of the lanbatal tribe, they left the shroud together, hand in hand.in buscarron's druthers, the two keepers met a band of adventurers tracking down their next elite mark. nisa manages to convince them to let the two join along, offering leiza's strength. while leiza herself was apprehensive, she does acknowledge that they need the gil, so she agrees to offer her strength. they bring low a monarch ogrefly together after a valiant fight, and each enjoyed a small wealth after splitting the rewards. since then, the group travelled the realm together, taking down each elite mark as posted by the grand companies. after each mark slain, they would enjoy a drink at a bar together, and spend a night at an inn, before returning to the hunt board the very next day to claim a new mark. they soon made a name for themselves as the number of bounties they completed grew, to nisa's delight. as they ventured the realm together, leiza grew closer to nisa, and eventually confessed her feelings towards the lanbatal under the stars, as they sat on a balcony together. nisa agrees to date her.

unfortunately, their luck doesn't last long. one of the members of their party lost their life during a botched hunt, and while they were able to bring down their mark, some of them were heavily injured, and none of them came out unscathed. upon looking at the state of their party, leiza realises how dangerous this line of work is. one thing was clear to her: she didn't want to lose nisa to this, especially now that they are together. one night, leiza expresses her desire to eventually stop their pursuit of elite marks, and to settle down together somewhere quiet. nisa, enticed by the coin and fame, assures leiza that nothing will happen to her. while leiza was unconvinced, she still stays with the party, continuing their routine of going to the hunt board to pick up the next mark. however, ever since that day, leiza noticed that her share has consistently been short, and upon confronting the party about their shares, they said theirs was fine, and that she needs to stop being paranoid. distrust quickly festers in the group, and leiza begins to investigate what has been happening to her share of gil, only to find out that nisa had been withholding leiza's share from her after overhearing nisa talk with the party about having to replace leiza eventually. leiza, enraged and feeling betrayed, punches nisa across the face. the party defends nisa from leiza, and ousts leiza from the group.the group abandons leiza in ul'dah. leiza, in an attempt to find a different purpose in life, enlists for the immortal flames at the age of twenty-one. she was quickly accepted among their ranks, and rebuilds her life from the ground up. she learned how to wield a sword and shield in combat, and refined her technique with the axe. she also occasionally practiced the way of the fist with her colleagues. little by little, through rigorous training and hard work, she slowly but steadily climbs the ranks of the immortal flames, joining her commander for missions throughout the realm. she lends her strength to operation archon under her commander's orders, helping seize a garlean stronghold to cripple the imperial forces and stop the invasion. during the bloody banquet, she helped make a few arrests to quell the unrest in ul'dah.

after the dragonsong war, leiza attains the rank of second flame lieutenant. after the attack on baelsar's wall, she volunteers to go to gyr abania, and assists the resistance effort to liberate ala mhigo from the garlean empire. she sustains a few injuries defending rhalgr's reach when it was attacked, but none prove debilitating to her, and was combat-ready within a week. while the scions journeyed to the far east, she helps maintain the effort in the gyr abanian front, tending to any that were injured, and burying the fallen. upon hearing of the victory over the empire in doma, she helps round up more forces to help take castellum velodyna for the resistance. with a hard-fought battle, she helps take the bridge, but not without suffering serious injuries. during the skirmish, she loses most of her tail. while she was trying to destroy the artillery cannons, one fired right next to her, causing her left eardrum to rupture. she weathered various burns along her entire left arm and side trying to shield herself from imperial machinery. no matter how hard she tries, she can never get the smell of burning flesh out of her memories.she woke up in the infirmary in rhalgr's reach, disoriented from the loss of her hearing and balance. her superiors informed her that effective immediately, she is not to do any more fighting, and that for her sake, she must stay and recover in the infirmary. despite her protests, she ultimately listened to her superiors, only stepping foot out of the infirmary to hear news about the liberation efforts. during her stay in the infirmary, with her only working hand, she began to practice the art of conjury. while it wasn't much, she tried to help others who were less fortunate than her, despite her extreme lack of bedside manner. eventually, her left arm began to heal. she regained feeling in her arm after several months, after extensive physical therapy and help from the flame conjurers. however, she never regained her hearing on her left side. due to the extent of her injuries, she has since been relegated to a clerical role in the flames.while initially dissatisfied with her new role at what is essentially a desk job following her injuries, she eventually adapts. from time to time, however, she wonders what would be in store for her had she not lost her hearing and balance.

ㅤbiographyㅤ ten minutes after the birth of his brother, hal was born. hailing from the western side of the skatay range, hal has always been a sickly child, and as a result, he spent a lot of time indoors recovering. he took the time to learn how to craft, and his mother encouraged him by providing him with tools and materials, to bolster his curiosity. when hal wasn't sick, he kept on crafting, but emer would constantly try to get him to play with his friends. to emer's chagrin, hal would refuse, choosing to quietly focus on his projects. despite this, hal and emer were very close. emer would give hal ideas, and hal would experiment with them, much to their mother's exasperation. hal would hide emer's toys as a prank, and emer would talk hal's ears off. upon hearing the other kids' whispers, that hal is off-putting and that no one wants to play with him, emer staunchly defended him, and threw rocks back at the other kids when they would throw them at hal. hal enjoyed his company, even if he thought of emer as a nuisance who can't keep his mouth shut most days. hal and emer became wood warders together, accepting the green word around the same time.while emer took up the sword, hal learned to take up the lance, though he wasn't as keen on it as he was with crafting. battle never came naturally to him as it did to emer. despite this, he held his own in combat, and utilised the lance well in hunting. hal and emer protected the mountains together, and were as inseparable as they were when they were children. unfortunately, hal would become critically ill one day, suffering from a serious cough and his breath robbed from him. emer, concerned for his brother's health, immediately tried to find herbs to fix a healing salve for him, but upon applying the salve, he found it ineffective. and shortly after, emer would fall victim to the same illness, despite being the far healthier twin. the brothers huddled together for warmth in a cave as they both waited for the illness to claim them. they were there for each other in the beginning, and they'll be there for each other in the end, as inseparable in death as they were in life.hal miraculously recovered. emer ultimately succumbed to the illness at the age of sixteen.

after burying emer with his bare hands, hal wandered out west, to the farther reaches of ilsabard. upon wandering too far, he was apprehended by imperial forces, and was taken into custody. he was thrown into a garlean gaol, where he met renata jen aemilia, a medicus appointed to the gaol. she was quickly taken by hal's personality and appearance, and despite her reservations about him being a "savage," she falls for him regardless. hal quickly proves his ingenuity by crafting a weapon out of almost nothing, and instead of punishing him for it, renata vouches for his freedom, making the argument that hal's talents could be useful to the empire. it didn't take much to secure hal's cooperation. renata courts hal, and slowly but surely, she wins his hand. after a year of exemplary service, hal gains garlean citizenship, and shortly after, hal and renata got married. living as hal cen aemilia from then on, he demonstrates his engineering and crafting talents by refining and augmenting various magitek weaponry, and lent his expertise to help fortify and build garlean structures. he also helps improve the train system after dedicating his time to researching locomotives. hal lived a relatively busy, but uneventful life in the garlean capital.over time, disagreements were rife in their marriage, particularly on the subject of starting a family. while renata wanted a child, hal was on the opposite side of the issue, adamantly refusing to have a child, as he never wanted one in the first place. despite hal's insistence, renata would do anything she could to get her wish, and even resorted to underhanded methods to do so. upon learning of this, hal began to distance himself from renata, and slowly planned his escape. one quiet night, after much careful preparation, hal detonated the ceruleum bombs he planted along the closest train tracks to his home. he took advantage of the resulting chaos to flee, and became a wanted man overnight. he stole an airship early in the morning. while he was no pilot, he managed to fly over werlyt as he escaped garlemald, only to be shot down above the water, crashing into the sea. all he could see was water. water flooded his lungs and airways. he was sinking, deeper and deeper. everything turned black as he felt himself being pulled from the water. hal was rescued by a group of fishermen that came to check out the wreckage. after being nursed back to health, he left for ul'dah, where he changed his name to arsilf ildynwesfv, and joined an organisation called the lotus, to ensure his protection from garlean prosecution.

at the age of twenty, arsilf rebuilds his life from scratch with the help of the lotus, ultimately giving up his lance. he faithfully worked for them as a crafter and artisan, and builds new connections amongst the group. after spending enough time serving the group and its interests, he decided to branch off on his own, and parted with the lotus amicably. while he no longer directly works for them, he still keeps in touch, and relies on his connections in the group for certain difficult-to-obtain materials, as well as prospective clients. he eventually opens his own forge after the bloody banquet, and while he struggles with debts and rent, he has no shortage of work and clients requesting his services. he eventually gets in touch with a certain tataru taru from the scions of the seventh dawn, and sends over some of his craftsmanship, but he has no real ties to the faction. for the most part, he sells his services for the right price, avoiding real allegiances and ties, and strongly maintains his neutrality amongst his clients.his days spent in ul'dah were mostly uneventful, much to his liking. a whole day's work in the forge, drink beer, crash on his bed or the couch, wake up groggy and cranky, rinse, repeat. when he gets the occasional free time, he tinkers with experimental creations, and drafts new ideas on a blueprint. if he's feeling extra bored, he picks apart a manual. it was simply business as usual for him when the telophoroi began erecting strange towers throughout the world. even moreso when the ragnarok had to be flown to the edge of the universe, and unrest grew along the realm following the events in thavnair and garlemald. he simply wasn't involved, and he prefers it that way.one day, however, one of his projects strangely came to life. one of the mammets he fashioned began to move, and finding it curious that it suddenly gained sentience, he tries to communicate with it. to his surprise, it could understand him, and could communicate back. after hours and days of deciphering what the mammet was trying to relay, he finds out the true identity of the animated mammet: a fallen scion named stryx lihaia, blessed with the echo. he finds out how they came to be trapped in the mammet, and what they need to have a working body again. eager to start a new project that would test his limits, arsilf creates two vessels for stryx, one of each gender, constructed to stryx's liking and specifications. the two become fast friends afterwards, and kept in touch even after stryx's bodies have been finished. arsilf regularly does maintenance on their bodies, and they help him in the forge from time to time, being a friendly face to greet clients as they walk through the door.

have you seen my twin, stryx? stryx possesses two bodies: one male, one female, and they swap between both on the daily depending on how they'd like to present, since they can't control both at the same time. however, those not in the know have ended up mistaking the two bodies for twins, and it has led to interesting conversations about where their twin went and what they are currently doing. it's quite strange that both male and female stryx are never seen in the same place at the same time, isn't it? stryx didn't even know they had a twin in the first place. it doesn't help that stryx's politeness makes it difficult for them to correct people, so they play along, just so their true identity as a mammet doesn't come out.

sparring partner sirfe is often looking for ways to improve his knife skills, and will seek out people he deems strong enough to test his skills against. while he is remarkably proficient in the art of archery, he believes it's all too easy to spar with the bow, especially if he can manage to keep a distance between him and his opponent. on the other hand, his knife skills could use some work, and he would very much like to add the skill in his repertoire for future employment. unfortunately, he is naturally farsighted, and isn't as proficient in close combat as a result— therefore, giving him the ambition to improve.

steppe traveller after participating in the annual naadam, sirfe since frequents the steppe to help out the various tribes that reside there. he has managed to find the vast plains of the azim steppe the closest thing he has to home despite his nomadic nature, and sells his services to the locals, be it his skills, body, or time, for a bit of extra gil while he enjoys the sights. he doesn't tend to stay in one place for too long, so he appreciates the seemingly never-ending vastness of the steppe, and even wanders through the lands without a chocobo, mostly by choice. even if he finds himself away from the steppe, he usually ends up missing it, and eventually comes back after a few months to travel the lands all over again.

and he will walk five hundred yalms sirfe can be seen wandering around ul'dah for the most part, though he isn't an uncommon sight in kugane, either. his gregarious and extroverted nature makes him no stranger to approaching people he finds interesting, especially fellow travelers, and inviting them for a drink or two. he may even ask to join their travels for a short time, if he happens to be particularly interested or bored with his day-to-day. he never thinks it hurts to ask to join, and he might even bring his instruments to make the journey a little more lively. nothing's better than a traveling duo, or even a group of travelers, right?

flame lieutenant leiza is an officer in the flames, which means she subjects herself to constant rigorous training and discipline to keep her form. even though nowadays she's been relegated to desk work due to her injuries and her hearing, she still volunteers for guard duty, cargo inspections, and patrols on odd days, and can occasionally be seen in the pugilist's guild to train on her days off. she is often the first person to intervene if she senses trouble, and won't hesitate to put herself in the line of fire if needed. even though the job causes her a great deal of stress, she certainly wouldn't trade her position for the world. she is a little peeved that she is no longer allowed to do more than guard duty, though.

former elite mark hunter leiza's hunting days may be over, but she may be recognised by other hunters, rival or not, who once knew her as one of the members of nisa's hunt group. she often avoids talking about her days as a hunter, but she could be persuaded to open up about her past if she feels particularly nice. part of her misses the thrill of the hunt, though she understands that those days are long gone, and all she can do now is use the skills she learned from her time as an elite mark hunter to do her job as a flame lieutenant. from time to time, though, she does take a look at the hunt board to see which notorious fiends need hunting.

the lanbatal clan though leiza isn't from the lanbatal clan herself, she does consider them family, and considers writing them letters from time to time. if she recognises a lanbatal, there is a decent chance she'll approach them for updates on the tribe and their dealings, since she's far too busy to find a day to leave ul'dah and visit the tribe herself. she assures herself that one of these days, she'll eventually find it in her to ask her superiors for a vacation to visit her family, though that day is never any day lately. so far, her only updates from the tribe are from the lanbatal she happens to come across in ul'dah, though she would like far more frequent updates, or even an opportunity to visit the clan herself.

forgefiend arsilf runs a forge in ul'dah, and can be requested for his services. while he doesn't possess a friendly countenance, he will see to it that he gets his requests done on time and as orderly as he can. the forge is open most days except the weekends, but he can be reached at any time. he welcomes any and all requests, so long as it's reasonable and accompanied with a list of materials, and he will even personally deliver to regulars if requested. smithing, clothcrafting, and carpentry are his notable strengths, though he is no stranger to culinary pursuits and leatherworking. the only field he has particular trouble in is alchemy, but he does have connections to assist him in that regard. feel free to send him a message to visit his forge!

former garlean engineer arsilf once lived as hal cen aemilia in the garlean capital, and worked as an engineer with a particular focus on weapons, but also branched out to vehicles and construction. while he is no prodigy like a certain garlond engineer, he was creative enough with magitek for his skills to be sought after, and he enjoyed a quiet, comfortable life in garlemald, despite his status as a "savage." those who escaped garlemald just like him may recognise his talent for creating things with magitek. he may even mention unusual innovations like a "radio" or a "heater" that is fuelled by ceruleum and not fire, which some defectors may recognise in their former everyday life.

there's something in the water though he may not say it out loud, arsilf has a severe phobia of water from his experience in almost drowning in the seas near werlyt. any attempt to get him onto a boat for extensive periods will be met with general failure and staunch refusal, and he often avoids medium to large bodies of water for fear of reenacting the traumatic event. still, some of his crafts require him to cross seas, lakes, and rivers, and even gather materials from the water, but he usually delegates that task to someone else after giving them a weighty pouch of gil. one day he'll face his fear, but that day is not anytime soon.
